Industrial raw materials

The right choice starts with the intended use

Industrial raw materials serve a range of activities, and the right choice starts with how they will be used. At mineralia, we welcome inquiries from manufacturers, importers and distributors seeking industrial materials in their primary form, for preparation or processing to meet their operational needs.

Zeolite

Zeolite

A porous mineral material with ion-exchange properties. Zeolite is used in water treatment, soil improvement, growing media and odor adsorption. Its natural structure supports a range of applications after preparation for the intended use.

Pumice

Pumice

A lightweight, highly porous volcanic rock with a range of uses. Pumice improves soil aeration and moisture retention. After suitable preparation, it is also used in lightweight blocks and concrete, polishing materials and personal care products.

Black mineral sand

Black mineral sand

Sand deposits rich in a range of heavy minerals that can be separated at specialist facilities. These include titanium minerals, zircon and iron minerals. Depending on the mineral recovered, the separated materials are used in metallurgy, ceramics, pigments, abrasives and filtration media.

Silica sand

Silica sand

A material rich in silicon dioxide and a key raw material for glassmaking. It is also used in ceramics, paints and adhesives. Silica glass and specialized processing of the material support solar cell and electronics applications.

Calcium carbonate

Calcium carbonate

A widely used mineral material found in paints, plastics, rubber, paper and construction materials. Calcium carbonate serves as a filler that helps adjust product properties and is prepared to suit manufacturers’ needs and production lines.

Rock salt

Rock salt

A natural sodium chloride material used in the production of chlorine, caustic soda and detergents, as well as leather tanning, water treatment, deicing and certain well-drilling fluids. After suitable refining and preparation, salt is also used in food manufacturing and preservation.

Gypsum

Gypsum

Hydrated calcium sulfate, a natural raw material used to produce gypsum boards, construction materials, decorative work and interior finishes. Gypsum is also used in cement, certain paints and soil conditioners, and is supplied to manufacturers for preparation and production.

Feldspar

Feldspar

A key raw material in glass and ceramics. Feldspar supplies alumina to improve glass durability. In ceramics, it helps lower the vitrification temperature and form the glassy phase during firing.

Graphite

Graphite

A naturally occurring crystalline form of carbon, known for its thermal and electrical conductivity and lubricating properties. After preparation, graphite is used in batteries, refractory materials, friction materials, electric motor brushes and other industrial applications.

Kaolin

Kaolin

A fine clay material used in porcelain, ceramics and paper. Kaolin serves in coating and filling applications and in refractory production. Manufacturers prepare it according to the requirements of the end product.

High-purity quartz

High-purity quartz

Natural silicon dioxide used in glass, ceramics and modern technology. High-purity quartz is used in specialized equipment for semiconductor and solar cell manufacturing, as well as in quartz glass and high-purity industrial materials.

Fluorite (fluorspar)

Fluorite (fluorspar)

Calcium fluoride, available in colors including green, white, blue and sky blue. Fluorite is used as a flux in iron and steel production and as a source of fluorine compounds for chemicals, aluminum, refrigerants, electrical insulation and certain energy industries. Suitable crystals are also used in lenses and optical applications.

Talc

Talc

A soft mineral with a soapy feel and the lowest hardness on the Mohs scale. Talc is used as a filler and property modifier in plastics, rubber, paper, paints and ceramics. Grades prepared for the purpose are also used in cosmetics and personal care products.

Zircon

Zircon

A zirconium silicate mineral recovered from heavy mineral sands. Zircon is used in ceramics, refractory materials and foundry molds. It is also a source of zirconium, which, after extraction and refining, is used in chemical processing equipment, corrosion-resistant piping and nuclear energy applications.

Limestone

Limestone

A natural rock rich in calcium carbonate, used in cement, lime and a range of industrial and construction applications. Limestone is supplied to manufacturers and other facilities for preparation to suit their needs.

Dolomite

Dolomite

A natural material containing calcium magnesium carbonate, used in glass, ceramics, certain construction materials and metallurgical applications. It is supplied to manufacturers and specialist raw material processing facilities.
